For sale is a double bass, also called the string bass, upright bass, or contrabass. This is a Christopher Model 100 (Artisan Strings), 3/4 size upright bass in perfect condition. It’s a professionally carved bass with select spruce top and fine flamed maple back. It was handcrafted in 2007 and has had only half a year’s worth of use by a student in a university orchestra. No scratches at all. It is set up with an adjustable bridge. The bass has German Machine heads and has a good deep tone which will only improve with age. It has a sturdy laminated construction and ebony fingerboard. It comes with a wooden French bow (3/4) with white horse hair. It also comes with a black bass case/bag (3/4 size), non-padded. I’ll also throw in a wooden bass mute and an endpin rockstop. I’m asking $3,600.
